This policy explains how Moodiary collects, uses, and protects your information.
Our goal is to keep things simple and transparent — and collect only the minimum necessary to provide value.
1) Who We Are
Moodiary is a mood and wellness journal app. You can track your daily mood (1–5), relax with meditations and nature sounds, and receive monthly reports with AI-powered insights.

2) Data We Collect
2.1 Data you provide
Mood entries (rating 1–5), notes, and tags you choose to add.
Meditation and sound preferences (favorites, last played).
Account/subscription details when applicable (receipts from App Store/Google Play). Payments are processed by the stores — we do not store card data.
2.2 Data collected automatically
Basic device data (model, OS, language) for compatibility and support.
Error and performance logs (when you opt in) to help fix bugs.
2.3 What we do not collect
No ad-tracking SDKs.
No sale of personal data.
No access to contacts, photos, or location without explicit consent.
3) How We Use Data
To operate core app features (mood tracking, reports, meditations, and sounds).
To generate monthly reports and insights. Whenever possible, processing is done locally on device. If cloud processing is required, we will notify you and use encryption.
For customer support, communication about relevant changes, and abuse prevention.
For aggregated, anonymized statistics to improve the Moodiary experience (without identifying you).
Legal basis (GDPR/LGPD): contract performance, legitimate interest (improvements and security), and, when applicable, consent (e.g., notifications, cloud backup).
4) Subscriptions & Payments
Moodiary Premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription:
Monthly Plan: price displayed in the App Store/Google Play, automatically renewed every month.
Annual Plan: price displayed in the App Store/Google Play, automatically renewed every year.
Charges are processed directly by the stores (Apple and Google). Cancellation or subscription changes must be managed via App Store/Google Play account settings. Auto-renewal can be turned off at any time, but must be done at least 24 hours before the next billing cycle.
5) Storage & Security
By default, your entries are stored locally on your device, unless you enable cloud backup.
If you enable cloud backup (iCloud/Google Drive), data will be synced securely, following system encryption settings.
We apply security best practices (encryption in transit, data minimization, least-privilege access).
6) Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only when necessary to operate the service:
App Stores (Apple/Google) for purchase and subscription management.
Infrastructure providers (e.g., hosting, crash logs) under confidentiality agreements and minimum access.
Legal requirements when we are compelled by law or court order.
7) Your Rights
Depending on your region (GDPR/LGPD/CCPA), you may:
Access and obtain a copy of your data.
Correct inaccurate information.
Request deletion of your data.
Request data portability (when applicable).
Withdraw consent or object to certain processing.

8) Cookies & Similar Technologies
Moodiary does not use tracking cookies. Only essential technologies required for app functionality may be used (e.g., local storage on device).
9) Children’s Privacy
Moodiary is not directed to children under 13 (or equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If a child provides us with data without parental consent, please contact us for immediate removal.
10) Data Retention
We keep data only as long as necessary to provide the service and comply with legal requirements. You may delete your records at any time within the app.
11) International Transfers
If data is transferred outside your country, appropriate safeguards will be applied (e.g., standard contractual clauses, encryption).
12) Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy to reflect improvements and legal requirements. We will publish the new version with an effective date. Significant changes will be notified in-app.
